Karate has been an important part of my life for more than forty years.
Through continuous practice, I have learned that karate is not simply a method of self-defense or physical training. It is a lifelong path of personal growth, self-discovery, and continuous improvement. Traditional karate teaches us how to strengthen both body and mind while maintaining respect, humility, and compassion toward others. These principles are widely recognized as core values of Karate-Do.
Even now, in my seventies, I continue to discover new insights through daily training. Every practice session offers opportunities for improvement, regardless of age or physical ability.
My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that karate should be accessible to everyone:
Children seeking confidence and discipline
Adults looking for health and fitness
Women interested in practical self-defense
Seniors wishing to maintain mobility and vitality
International students who wish to experience authentic Japanese martial arts
I place particular emphasis on kata training. Kata is more than a sequence of movements. Through sincere practice, we can learn the ideas, principles, and wisdom passed down by previous generations of masters.
Karate training also develops creativity and adaptability. The ability to respond appropriately to changing situations in the dojo often becomes a valuable skill in everyday life, business, leadership, and personal relationships.
I welcome anyone who wishes to begin this lifelong journey of learning and self-improvement.
Motto
„Karate is not about defeating others. It is about continuously improving yourself.“
